Banbury Symphony Orchestra takes the health and safety of everyone who attends its concerts and rehearsals very seriously. The orchestra is monitoring the development of the coronavirus outbreak within the UK, and is keeping track of updates from the Government and other official sources.

Our current view at this point in time (12 March) is that there is no need for us to take any specific action, and that rehearsals and concerts will continue as planned. However, we fully expect that – with a very rapidly changing situation in the UK – we may need to change our guidance at short notice. This may include cancellation of rehearsals or concerts. We will publish future updates on this website, so please ensure that you stay up to date.

In addition, we would ask that anyone who has any symptoms of respiratory illness or flu, or who has mild symptoms that could be coronavirus, should self-isolate at home and not attend rehearsals. This is in line with the latest advice issued today, 12 March.
